Abstract

The current study aimed at evaluating the efficiency of the communications of Corona crisis management in Egyptian hotels and tourist authorities, and the appropriateness of the communication strategies used for the nature of the crisis. The study was conducted on a sample of 75 government officials in the tourism sector, hotel managers and hotel owners, divided equally, The study relied on SCCT theory to determine the communication strategies of crisis departments in hotels and tourist authorities, the sample of the study, and the study reached several results within the framework of the goals that it sought, the most important of which are: The level of performance) by a percentage of (94.7%). As for the process of learning and benefiting from the Corona crisis and its conformity with the actual reality in the administration, it came (encouraging leaders and managers in the hotel or the authority to continuous learning processes) on the first place with a relative weight of (92%), that one of the most important Institutional factors that challenged the process of drawing lessons learned and learning from the Corona crisis, and learning from Errors (not reviewing weaknesses within the hotel or authority) by 33.3%.
