Abstract

The study aims at identifying the mechanisms of the effectiveness of media observatories of the official institutions in managing crises, in particular, (the Rohingya and refugees crises), analyzing and monitoring all of what have been published on the two crises (the sample of the study) by the two observatories. The present study is one of a series of studies which revolve around this issue. The researcher has put a laser beam on an important axis which is closely related to this phenomenon since the research area is considered a virgin area which has not been addressed before; therefore, the study seeks to fill this gap. The axis is “the effectiveness of Media Observatories of the Religious Institutions in managing Crises: An Analytical Study”. The study makes use of the survey method that pursues two main purposes: descriptive and analytical. The researcher has used the content analysis approach in analyzing all the data. This has been applied to Al-Azhar Observatory in Foreign Languages” and the Saudi Observatory of Etidal”. The refugee crisis represents a huge amount of the sample of the study since it comes first in the two sites with percentage of 60.4% while the Rohingya crisis comes second with 39.6% percentage. The large number of refugees is due to poverty, injustice, tyranny, coercion, and conflicts in the countries of those refugees who are forced to flee their homes. Thus, it is a thorny issue that faces the whole world after terrorism and Islamophobia.
