Future vision for employment of educational media specialists for media activities in awareness for the secondary school students with the requirements of digital citizenship

Abstract

The study aimed to characterize the actual reality of the extent of employing media activities in awareness of secondary school students about the requirements of nine digital citizenship, it recognizes the extent to which a sample of educational media specialists and supervisors are aware of the indicators indicating the importance of employing media activities in awareness of these requirements, as well as their suggestions to reach a list of starting points of the future vision proposed to employ media activities in awareness of secondary school students to the requirements of nine digital citizenship, this is positively reflected in the development of students' awareness of the secondary stage towards their conscious, safe, responsible, etiquette and legal uses of technologies, digital media and social networks, to reach them as active digital citizens, and to improve their expected return from the digital world in the future.
It is one of the descriptive studies, and the study used the survey method to answer its questions and applied to a purposive sample of (114) Members, consisting of (100) educational media specialists, distributed in (100) secondary schools, by the specialist of each school and (14) media supervisors, distributed to (14) Educational managements belonging to the directorates of education in Cairo and Giza governorates, by the supervisor of each educational management, according to the sample limits, the study was based on the questionnaire and measurement tools in data collection, Its main findings, the following:
1-    There is a weakness in the final outcome of the role of educational media specialists in the employment of media activities in a planned and intentional, in order to familiarize secondary school students with the requirements of the nine digital citizenship, which leads to weak perception of these requirements, and then their weakness In dealing out.  
2-    The requirement of Digital Etiquette came first in the role played by educational media specialists in the actual reality of the extent of their use of media activities in awareness of secondary school students with its indicators, followed by the requirement of Digital Health and Wellness, in second place, the requirements of Digital Laws, Digital Rights and Responsibilities, In the third, and in the fourth, the requirement of Digital Access, and then the requirements of Digital Literacy, Digital Security in the fifth, and requirements of Digital Communication, Digital Commerce in the sixth and last.  
3-    There is a high level of awareness of the ten indicators indicating the importance of employing media activities in awareness of secondary school students of the requirements of nine digital citizenship of the specialists and supervisors of educational media, the study sample.
4-    The results of the compilation and analysis of multiple responses to the suggestions of a sample of educational media specialists and supervisors of the starting points of employing media activities in awareness of secondary school students about the requirements of nine digital citizenship in the future, resulted in (13) practical suggestions, and (5) main axes, including the starting points, objectives, standards, specifications, and (15) of the operational steps to achieve the proposed future vision.
