Trends of religious newspapers in dealing with the "Corona" crisis:

Abstract

The issue dealt with by this research represents a global public opinion issue because of its connection to the life of all human beings, and considering that the media has an important role in dealing with issues and crises. This study came to highlight religious newspapers and their role in dealing with the Coronavirus crisis, as the study sought to identify trends Religious newspapers in their dealing with the Corona crisis, how different it is from other newspapers, and how these newspapers interested in the developments of the Corona crisis, and what methods they relied on to influence the reader and convince him of the strategies to confront this crisis.
     The researcher conducted his analytical study in the period between (March 1 to July 1, 2020 AD) on “Sawt Al-Azhar” and "Aqeedaty" newspapers, and the researcher conducted a comprehensive survey of all topics related to the Corona crisis in the two newspapers during this period, as the number of these topics reached about 251.
The study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: Religious newspapers - the study sample - paid great attention to dealing with the Corona crisis from its inception. Also, the study used various methods in dealing with the crisis, and one of the most focused of the two newspapers was the treatment by offering new solutions to confront the crisis, and the result was a total of 54.5%.
     According to the religious specialization of the study newspapers, the treatment from the religious aspect topped the results of the study, with a rate of 37.8%, but at the same time the two newspapers did not neglect the health and awareness aspects, as the treatment rate for each was 17.9%.
But when the study newspapers dealt with 100% positive, they relied on emotional inducement more than others and by 50.5% to convince the reader of the seriousness of this crisis and the importance of following precautionary measures in dealing with it.
