Evaluate the communicators in the press organizations and websites Mechanisms to confront rumors through social media

Abstract


The problem of the study aimed at studying the causes of the spread of rumors, their objectives, impact and methods of producing them through social media, and identifying the Internet that they use by communicating in press institutions and other articles and methods on them, in addition to providing recommendations as they see to reduce rumors and their risks.
This study was descriptive, and the media survey approach was adopted, and a form form was used, a sample of deliberate studies by (189) individual heads and editors directors and photo heads represented in the Al-Masry Foundation by (31) items, and the participation of the Sunrise (30) single items, and the Al-Ahram site by the reality (24), and Rosa Al-Yusef by (30) singular, as for time (25) singular, and the site for Sow (22) singular, and Masrawy site by (27) singular.
The most important results of the study:
(1) suggested communicators in the press institutions and websites for many strategies according to their vision to confront the rumors through social networking sites, it has been the signing of legal sanctions, and transparency in the provision of information, and the issuance of Information Act.
(2) The roles of journalists in the press institutions and the websites they work for have appeared in how to deal with rumors by making sure of the official declared and approved sources, and quickly responding to the rumor as soon as it appears, adding the correct links to the news, and writing a comment that the information is incorrect.
